Prep Work
Site preparation is a key component to ensure long lasting growth of grass. Here at Carolina Hydroseeding we perform prep work or can be done by you. This process sets the stage for successful growth.
Aeration
Plug Aeration pulls small cords of soil out of the ground to loosen compacted dirt and let air, water, and nutrients reach the roots. This helps grass grow thicker, healthy, and stronger.
Dethatching
This drag process helps pull up dead grass and debris so new seed can touch the soil and grow properly. This helps grass come in evenly and establishes faster.
Ventrac
Aerovating with a Ventrac uses rotating tines to loosen compacted soil by vibration for better airflow and water absorption.
Skid Steer
Using a skid steer with a Harley Rake attachment breaks up hard compacted soil and levels the ground to create a smooth, clean seedbed. This process is a start from scratch look. Whether you have existing vegetation or bumps this process is made to get it back to bare dirt to help seed settle into the soil for BEST growth.
